หลักการใช้ Tense อะไรคงต้องดูบริบทที่คุยหรือสิ่งที่ผู้พูดต้องการสื่อสาร เบื้องต้นจดโครงสร้างไว้ก่อน ส่วนตัวอย่างประโยคที่น่าสนใจ จะเติมทีหลัง เรื่องที่เราพูดถึงมี “เวลา” ใน อดีต/ปัจจุบัน/อนาคต (Past/Present/Future) และทำอะไรอยู่ตอนนั้น

Main structure

Present

• ทำอยู่และพวก fact ต่างๆ
• รูปประโยคจะมี V1, is/am/are, has/have

Past

• เคยทำ
• จะมีพวก V2, was/were, had

Future

• จะทำ
• will, will + have

Simple

• Present Simple : S + V1
• Past Simple : S + V2
• Future Simple : S + will + V.infinitive

Continuous

Be + V.ing

Verb to be (be/is/am/are/was/were/been)

• Present Continuous : S + is/am/are + V.ing
• Past Continuous : S + was/were + V.ing
• Future Continuous : S + will + be + V.ing

Perfect

have + V3

Verb to have (have/has/had)

• Present Perfect : S + has/have + V3
• Past Perfect : S + had + V3
• Future Perfect : S + will + have + V3

Perfect Continuous

have + been + V.ing

• Present Perfect Continuous : S + has/have + been + V.ing
• Past Perfect Continuous : S + had + been + V.ing
• Future Perfect Continuous : S + will +have + been + V.ing
